Khalil Coe hit the scales at 182.8 pounds for a 175-pound fight
Remember how I complimented Khalil Coe for finally getting his head on straight after his loss to Manuel Gallegos? Turns out I spoke too soon, as he hit the scales at a staggering 182.8 pounds for tomorrow’s DAZN light heavyweight co-feature against Jesse Hart.
Coe (10-1-1, 8 KO) forfeits 30% of his purse to Hart (31-3, 25 KO), who came in under the limit for his first fight since April of 2024.
He really seemed to have turned the corner in the Gallegos rematch, coming in a full two pounds under the limit ahead of a career-best performance. Alas, this marks the latest in a long string of ugly weight misses. It’s particularly galling considering how much effort Matchroom has invested in him and how many opportunities he’s been given.
Main event fighters Raymond Muratalla and Andy Cruz hit their marks with room to spare, as did the remainder of the undercard.
