Former Colorado offensive tackle Jordan Seaton, the top uncommitted transfer, formally committed to LSU and new Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin out of the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3’s Hayes Fawcett has learned. As a sophomore this past season, Seaton will have two more years of collegiate eligibility in Baton Rouge.

Seaton, who formally entered the portal at 11:20 pm CT last Thursday, chose new-look LSU over interest from Texas, Miami, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Oregon. The 6-foot-5 and 330-pound Seaton visited Baton Rouge this past weekend and posted a picture of himself inside Tiger Stadium with Kiffin and his nephew “Cookie” to his personal Instagram, via Matt Moscona. Seaton was originally scheduled to visit Eugene on Monday but delayed that trip for an extra day at LSU, which ultimately locked down the massive left tackle.

Seaton, a former Five-Star Plus+ prospect in 2024, was the top-rated offensive tackle transfer and the No. 5 overall player in the 2026 transfer class, according to the On3 Transfer Portal Player Rankings. Seaton signed with Colorado as the top-ranked offensive tackle in the 2024 recruiting cycle and the No. 18 overall player in the class out of IMG Academy, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting media companies.

Landing Seaton is a major coup for Kiffin, who has been aggressive in rebuilding the Tigers roster through the transfer portal this offseason. Seaton becomes LSU’s 40th transfer addition and the third in the Top 5 overall, joining No. 1 overall transfer in former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt and former Ole Miss pass rusher Princewill Umanmielen (No. 3 overall) on Wednesday.

Seaton spent the past two seasons at Colorado, starting 22 games at left tackle. As a true freshman in 2024, Seaton started all 13 games for the Buffaloes and was named a second-team All-Big 12 selection and a Freshman All-American by On3. He also started the first nine games of the 2025 season before
missing the final three with an injury. Nevertheless, Seaton was still named a second-team All-Big 12 selection for the second straight season.

Currently, Seaton has an On3 NIL Valuation of $1.7 million. That ranks him No. 34 in the On3 NIL 100, which compiles the NIL Valuations of players across sports. The On3 NIL Valuation is a projected annual value, based on combining Roster Value and NIL Value
