PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past month in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.
The P/PTSD Perspective: January 24th, 2025
1) A Rumored Brian Flores Door May Be Closing: At least at the moment, DC Brian Flores appears to be sticking around. That is, of course, unless a coaching job opens up to become the top skipper (looking at you, Pittsburgh). He’s an overqualified coordinator, so keeping him would be a nice development for the Vikings.
2) Ex-Vikings Coach Favored to Land Head Coaching Gig: In the end, Kevin Stefanski landed the job with the Atlanta Falcons. Nobody thinks that Georgia’s football team is the gold standard in the NFL but Coach Stefanski must feel like he hit the jackpot since he previously worked for the Cleveland Browns. Does Kirk Cousins now stick around as a Falcon?
3) Possible QB Target Says He Should Start: If he comes to Minnesota, Mac Jones will get a legit shot to compete. He was a 1st-Round passer of the Patriots from a few years ago before journeying through the NFL. At least in a basic sense, Jones appears to fit the Vikings very well.
4) A Vikings Free Agent Wants to Come Back to Minnesota: The starting punter wants to come back (as he told Vikings Territory). Ryan Wright got added after the 2022 NFL Draft, turning into a rare success story from within the overall haul of young talent. Look for a decent raise.
5) Vikings Get Some Salt Poured in the Wound: No doubt, the 2025 season was a tough one for Vikings football. Finishing off the year at 9-8 is underwhelming, especially since it took a five-game winning streak to get there. Seeing Sam Darnold journey far into the playoffs makes things even tougher.
Enjoy the extra reading, Vikings fans.
