Didn’t see that coming
There was a bit of unexpected news during the Duke-Wake game on Saturday as a new roster addition has apparently been made: Malcolm Wilson, late of Queens, has transferred to Duke.
A 7-0 center, Wilson was previously at Georgetown for three seasons and he’s been at Queens for two. Wilson has never been a stat stuffer, but he is 7-0 and is expected to fill the practice role that Ifeanyi Ufochukwu was holding down prior to his injury.
Wilson won’t get on the court a lot during games, but he could prove to be a massive help on the scout team. He’s listed as a grad student so odds are he’ll only be here for the spring semester. Welcome to Duke, Malcolm!
Minor note – also listed on the Queens roster: Carson Schwieger. Putting two-and-two together, we’re sure he’s the younger brother of Wake Forest’s Cooper Schwieger – he’s from Overland Park, like Cooper and was also at Valparaiso, again like Cooper.
