Syracuse has landed a commitment from St. Frances Academy three-star running back Sa’Nir Brooks.
The Aliquippa, Pa. native announced his decision on Saturday evening via social media:
I”’m beyond grateful to announce that I’m committing to Syracuse University,” Brooks wrote on X. “Thank you Coach Fran and the Syracuse coaching staff for the opportunity to continue playing the game I love most. I want to thank my parents and family for supporting me, I also wanna thank all my coaches who played a major part in my growth and development.”
Brooks is the No. 424 overall prospect and No. 33 RB in the 2027 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 7 junior in Maryland.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder also holds offers from the likes of Michigan State, West Virginia, Rutgers, Pitt, Wisconsin and Maryland.
Brooks adds to a 2027 class that’s already sizable for head coach Fran Brown and the Orange. Syracuse now has nine members on the pledge list, with Brooks being the first running back.
Rocky River (Ohio) four-star safety Tristin Hughes sits atop the class early on and is the lone top-400 recruit in the mix. He’s also one of four defensive back or athlete recruits in the fold for Brown and Co.
