The Syracuse Crunch picked up its fourth straight win on Saturday night, defeating Utica 6-3.
Less than seven minutes into the first period, Mitchell Chaffee got the scoring started for the Crunch with his tenth goal of the season. Five minutes later, rookie Ethan Gauthier struck on the power play, giving Syracuse a 2-0 lead after one.
The Crunch would tally two more goals in the second period. Matteo Pietroniro and Dylan Duke both lit the lamp for Syracuse in the second. Brendan Furry would cap off the win, with two empty-net goals in the third period.
Syracuse moves to three points back of first place Laval in the North Division. The Crunch and Comets will close out the weekend in Utica on Sunday at 3 p.m.
