We’re into the final weeks of January, and it’s very quiet at Chelsea.

There has been a bit of the customary loan shuffling, but it doesn’t feel like the Blues are going to make any major additions. Speaking in his NBC interview, manager Liam Rosenior spoke a little about his day to day interactions with the sporting directors.

Rosenior on “constant conversation” with sporting directors about transfers

Liam Rosenior speaks to NBC Sport about his Chelsea tactics.

“We’re in a constant conversation, twice, three, four times a day, because the market moves so quickly. In January, things come up that you don’t expect, or you might get offers in for your players that you don’t expect,” the coach explained.

“So we’re very open collaborative. I’ve already had two conversations today, and I think it’s not even two o’clock in the afternoon here about the window, but we’ll keep working, and if we think something is right for the club in or out, we’ll make that decision.”

So far, it seems like there won’t be anyone coming in. Those conversations, whatever they’ve about, are probably not about Jeremy Jacquet, who no longer looks likely to be coming in.

We wonder if there will be any of those “things you don’t expect” coming up that he mentions? It would certainly get fans very excited.
