Lamine Yamal hit his 100th career goal contribution as Barcelona beat Real Oviedo 3-0 in La Liga on Sunday.

Barcelona stay top as Yamal shines again

Barcelona strengthened their position at the top of La Liga with comfortable 3-0 victory over bottom side Real Oviedo in matchday 21 on Sunday.

The win was led by another impressive performance from teenage star Lamine Yamal who sealed the result with spectacular third goal late in the match.

The 18 year-old scored with acrobatic volley that combined elements of scissor kick and backheel style finish drawing major attention across Spain.

Yamal reaches major career milestone

The goal was particularly special as it marked Yamal’s 100th goal contribution for club & country despite his young age.

He has now registered:

• 36 goal and 46 assist for Barcelona
• Total of 82 goal contributions in 132 appearances for the club
• 6 goal and 12 assist for Spain
• 18 goal contribution in 23 international match

Overall Yamal reached the 100 mark in just 155 game, an impressive achievement for player who is still only 18.

Faster than Messi & Ronaldo

Yamal’s numbers have already sparked comparisons with football legends. Statistics show that he reached 100 career goal and assists quicker than both Lionel Messi & Cristiano Ronaldo.

• Messi needed 159 match to reach the same milestone
• Ronaldo reached it in his 236th professional game

Yamal has achieved the landmark in fewer appearances and at much younger age. Messi and Ronaldo were both 21 when they reached the figure while Yamal has done it before turning 19.

A teenager making history

While expectations remain high, Barcelona believe Yamal’s consistency and maturity are rare for player of his age.

Even in season described as mixed, he has continued to produce goals and assists at elite level.
