Rams eliminated from playoffs with NFC Championship loss to Seahawks

It’s a heartbreaking end of the season, and it’s time to look toward what needs to be addressed this offseason for the Rams.

It’s a disappointing end to the season for the Rams, who started the season strong enough to be mentioned in every Super Bowl conversation, but along the way lost their shot at the top seed and ended up being the third of three NFC West teams to make the postseason.

After beating the Panthers in the Wild Card Round, the Rams went to frosty Chicago to take on the Bears, winning an overtime thriller to move on to the NFC Championship. Sunday’s 31-27 heartbreaker of a road loss to the top-seeded Seahawks marks the end of the Rams’ postseason run.

The Patriots beat the Broncos in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, winning 10-7 in Denver to advance. They’ll face off against the Seahawks in the 49ers Levi’s Stadium on Super Bowl Sunday.

Now the Rams will shift their focus to 2026 and all of the questions facing the team this offseason. Will Matthew Stafford retire? What’s the future of the Rams’ quarterback position? How can they shore up this offensive line? What talent can they add with two first-round picks in 2026 to help get the team back to the Super Bowl?

All of those answers will come in time. Hopefully the answers do lead to a more successful 2026 postseason.
