On-loan Real Madrid forward Endrick is currently on a clear and demanding mission during his spell in France, and so far, everything is going according to plan. 

The young Brazilian joined Olympique Lyonnais in search of something he badly needed after a difficult period in Spain: consistent playing time. 

In Madrid, opportunities were limited, confidence dipped, and development slowed. 

Lyon offered him minutes, responsibility, and trust, and Endrick has repaid that faith in emphatic fashion.

On a mission

It is known that Endrick wants to rebuild the confidence he lost during his early months at the Bernabeu. 

Second, he aims to perform at a level high enough to convince Carlo Ancelotti that he deserves a place in Brazil’s plans for the upcoming World Cup. 

Third, and perhaps most importantly, he wants to give Real Madrid no choice but to bring him back once his loan spell ends. Based on his early performances, all three targets are firmly within reach.

Endrick’s start to life in Ligue 1 has been nothing short of sensational. In just three league appearances, he has already registered five goal contributions, scoring four times and providing one assist. 

His standout performance came on matchday 19 in Lyon’s 5-2 away victory over Metz. The Real Madrid striker produced a first half that immediately caught attention across France. 

Before the 15-minute mark, Endrick opened the scoring with a calm and delicate finish, showing maturity beyond his years. 

Just minutes later, he found the net again, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.

That setback did not slow him down. Before the break, he struck once more to restore Lyon’s advantage. 

After half-time, the Brazilian continued to threaten, pressing defenders and attacking space with confidence. 

His night was capped off in the final stages when he calmly converted a penalty to complete a memorable hat-trick.
