Lakota Tech's girls, Stanley County's boys join state basketball poll

There are only limited changes in the latest South Dakota Prep Media Basketball Poll released on Monday, Jan. 26.

All six No. 1-rated teams remained the same, including Sioux Falls Lincoln (Class AA), West Central (Class A) and Viborg-Hurley (Class B) in boys and Brandon Valley (Class AA), Mahpiya Luta (Class A) and Lyman (Class B) in girls.

Although some teams switched positions in some classes, only two teams broke into the ratings: Lakota Tech, No. 10 in Class A girls, and Stanley County, No. 10 in Class A boys.

The South Dakota Prep Media Basketball Poll for the week of Jan. 26 is listed below, ranking the top-five teams in Class AA, top-10 teams in Class A and Class B, the team’s record, points received and ranking in the previous poll. First-place votes are listed in parentheses.
