Pittsburgh adds an intriguing wide receiver.
The Steelers have signed their first player under new head coach Mike McCarthy, announcing the addition of wide receiver A.T. Perry to the offseason roster on Thursday.
Perry was selected in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints. He appeared in 10 games his rookie season, starting three. He logged 12 receptions for 246 yards (a 20.5-yard average), scoring four touchdowns.
The 6’3, 198-pound pass-catcher ran a 4.47-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. He scored a 9.61 RAS coming out of college at Wake Forest, finishing his college career with two straight thousand yard, 10-plus touchdown seasons.
Perry was waived in 2024, spending that season and the next on the Denver Broncos’ practice squad. He never appeared in any games.
Perry joins the Steelers on a futures deal, where he can begin to fight for a spot in the Steelers’ 2026 wide receiver room.
