LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers' 2025 Fall Classic victory over the Toronto Blue Jays will surely go down as one of the most prolific displays of baseball played at the highest level. But nothing more was strained and put to the test more than the physical capacities of the Dodgers' arms.

Los Angeles starter Blake Snell, who displayed reliability and grit the entirety of the World Series, told Jack Harris of the California Post on Thursday about the status of his arm and how it has held up in the mere months following the tough series.

Snell told Harris that he was "happy" to pitch throughout the World Series, but later admitted the wear and tear it took on his arm after enduring five postseason starts.

The 33-year-old southpaw told Harris that his arm was "tired" and "exhausted" following the World Series, and still plans to be ready for Opening Day on March 26, but that possibility has been seen as uncertain, per Harris.

Snell made it a point that he wants his body to be 100% ready for the 2026 season and has been actively communicating with the Dodgers on being patient and not rushing any crucial steps of recovery.

The Dodgers' dealing with extensive injuries to their starting rotation year in and year out is nothing new, so with Los Angeles displaying the crucial route for how their starters recover from an intense World Series, it could shine a light on how pitching workload will be managed for 2026 and beyond.

Then again, injuries are inevitable, but with the immense depth at the Dodgers' disposal on both fronts of their pitching, Los Angeles can manage to find better ways for recovery in terms of their arms, even if it means having someone like Snell take the necessary lengthy precautions.
