Transfer move on the brink of going through: Chelsea finally solve major problem

There is a transfer move now on the brink of going through, meaning Chelsea might have finally solved a major problem they had.

We are soaring towards the end of the January transfer window now, with just days left until the door slams shut on Monday evening after this weekend.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea have two options for new centre back in before the transfer window closes!

Clubs will be scrambling around now attempting to get any late deals done to tackle the rest of the season and make sure they have a squad that is good enough to compete until the summer, when the next transfer window opens up.

Chelsea were always expected to be very quiet this window, and they actually have been very quiet this window. But the noise has increased around a host of deals they might still do and even some possible new arrivals. But so far, nothing much has really happened.

However, they have managed to sort one major problem out in the squad – that is the so-called ‘bomb squad’.

Sterling and Disasi out

Axel Disasi playing for Chelsea’s U-21 Development Squad.

Raheem Sterling and Chelsea mutually agreed to rip up his Chelsea contract and he’s now become a free agent, able to join a new club now this weekend.

And the only other bomb squad member left is Axel Disasi, but it looks like he now has a move sorted before the deadline this month as well, and will be off.

Problem solved?

Not really, no. Because Disasi’s proposed move to West Ham that looks like it should be confirmed any moment now, is just going to be a loan move. So it’s likely that he will be back at Chelsea in the summer and they will have the same problem once again.

However, at least Chelsea will get a loan fee, Disasi can play football and hopefully increase his valuation, and he’s then sold in the summer.
