Jason Kelce Admits He Kept His Eagles Teammate’s Jock Strap After 2018 Super Bowl

Jason Kelce is an open book.

The retired Philadelphia Eagles star, 38, revealed to his brother, Travis Kelce, a personal admission that perhaps should have stayed in the locker room when speaking on a bonus episode of their New Heights podcast.

The topic arose during a Q&A segment titled "Heights Hotline," where the brothers field questions from fans who call into the show. In this episode, they answered questions about the Super Bowl.

As players who've been to — and won! — the Big Game several times with their respective Eagles and Kansas City, the caller asked Jason and Travis, 36, to name the "weirdest item" that they've gotten or kept from one of their past Super Bowls.

While the Chiefs' tight end took a second to think, an answer instantly entered the mind of his Eagles center brother.

"I want to say I got [Celek's] jock strap from the game," Jason said in reference to his now-retired Eagles teammate Brent Celek, who won Super Bowl LII alongside him when Philadelphia defeated the New England Patriots in February 2018.

"I was going to mount it with his jersey," he added.

Travis, who was hysterical at his older brother's answer, questioned if he even had a place in his house to mount his teammate's jerseys.

"Oh yeah. In the weight room," confirmed an unfazed Jason, who said that he's "generally not" the type of person who likes to show off his jersey collection, but "has been displaying" a lot of them in recent years, particularly ones from past teammates.

Naturally, the Chiefs star questioned if Jason has plans to hang his iconic #87 jersey on the wall.

"Of course," said Jason.

"You don't know where my jersey is," Travis quizzed his brother.

"I know exactly where it is. I have all my jerseys stored downstairs," replied Jason. "They're all in the same location... I do not wash anything."

"You can't wash them," added Travis, saying, "You gotta feel the dirt and the sweat. You gotta feel that. I'm not even in on putting them in glass. I want to be able to touch the fabric."

Meanwhile, Travis continues to be the center of speculation over when he plans to retire and literally hang his jersey up for good. His brother, Jason, retired in March 2024 with the Eagles after 13 seasons in the NFL.

While the star tight end has yet to make an official announcement on his future plans, he's opened up about the factors that will play into his decision after his 13 seasons with the Chiefs.

"You know, that's a good question, man. I think I'm still searching for those answers... The way this one ended with a sour taste in my mouth," Kelce told retired football star Tony Gonzalez, who asked about his retirement decision.

"I feel motivated, but I got to make the right decision for me," he shared.
