Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of London City Lionesses defender Cerys Brown on a loan deal until the end of the season.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Tricky Trees this morning.
The 20-year-old spent the latter days of her youth in the academy system at Chelsea and she went on to graduate to the fringes of the senior squad. Brown made her senior debut for The Blues in the 2022/2023 season.
Brown joined latest club London City Lionesses in summer 2024 on a loan deal from Chelsea that was later made permanent. She helped guide The Pride to the Barclays WSL2 title last season, along with promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League.
After joining Nottingham Forest on loan, Brown said “I’m delighted to join the Club on loan. It’s such an ambitious club with some really exciting players within this squad.
“As a Forest fan, it’s even more special to be here this season and I can’t wait to get started playing at the City Ground soon.”
Brown is Nottingham Forest’s fifth signing of the January transfer window. The defender could make her debut when The Tricky Trees travel to Birmingham City on Sunday.
