Gresini Racing unveiled the livery of its 2026 MotoGP bikes at a presentation in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

Following the conclusion of MotoGP’s Shakedown test at the Sepang International Circuit, Gresini travelled to Malaysia’s capital to reveal the bikes Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer will race this season.

Marquez attended the launch alongside team boss Nadia Padovani, but Aldeguer was absent after breaking his left femur while training at the Aspar circuit in Valencia earlier this month.

The satellite Ducati squad has retained its familiar pastel-blue colour scheme, complemented by red and black accents. It marks the continuation of a livery it first introduced in 2022, when the team split from Aprilia and began operating as an independent team.

While the colours remain largely unchanged, there are significant developments underneath the paint. Alex Marquez will race the same GP26 as his elder brother Marc Marquez, Francesco Bagnaia and VR46’s Fabio di Giannantonio, with Ducati expanding its allocation of factory machinery to four bikes this season.

As a result, the younger Marquez will compete on factory-spec equipment for the first time since his rookie MotoGP campaign with Repsol Honda in 2020.

Aldeguer, however, will continue with year-old machinery in his sophomore campaign, with Ducati entrusting him with the 2025-spec GP25. That bike delivered the 2025 title in Marc Marquez’s hands, but both Bagnaia and di Giannantonio struggled to consistently extract performance out of it.

The upcoming season is crucial for Gresini as it looks to build on a successful 2025 campaign in which both its riders became first-time grand prix winners. Marquez broke his duck at Jerez and added two more victories in Barcelona and Sepang on his way to finishing runner-up in the standings, while Aldeguer triumphed in Indonesia to seal the Rookie of the Year honours.

Their combined results propelled Gresini to second place in the teams’ standings, ahead of Ducati’s other satellite squad, VR46.

With Gresini’s launch complete, Honda and LCR remain the only teams yet to showcase their 2026 motorcycles. LCR’s launch is scheduled on Sunday, with the factory Honda team following a day later.

Alex Marquez will put the Gresini Ducati through its paces at the official Sepang pre-season test, which is scheduled from 3-5 February. This week’s shakedown test, which also took place in Malaysia, was only open to manufacturers’ test riders and rookies, leaving Gresini unable to take part.
