As the transfer window draws to a close, Liverpool could be about to surprise their fans. The club is currently in talks over a potential new signing: defender Lutsharel Geertruida.
Until now, no arrivals were expected this winter. Head coach Arne Slot stated as recently as January 24 that no signings were planned. But after the victory over Newcastle on Saturday, he now appears open to strengthening his squad.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have already made contact with Sunderland regarding Geertruida. Talks are ongoing, but it remains to be seen whether the club will act before the transfer window closes or stick with their current squad.
