Inter are still exploring late options in the transfer market, and a possible move involving Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones remains on the table, but only under one condition.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908, Inter coach Cristian Chivu has asked the club for another attacking addition before the window closes.
The Nerazzurri boss wants more variety in the final third and believes a different profile could add unpredictability to his system.
Inter had evaluated wide options earlier in the window, but the focus has now shifted toward midfield flexibility.

That is where Jones enters the picture.
The Liverpool player could leave on loan.
However, the Premier League side would only approve the move if he first signs a one-year contract extension, pushing his current deal from 2027 to 2028.
At present, Jones has not agreed to that renewal.
Without it, Liverpool will not authorise a temporary departure. Inter therefore wait on the player’s decision before making any concrete move.
A potential arrival could also trigger a departure.
If Jones were to join, Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi would be allowed to leave in search of regular playing time.
Reports in Italy suggest a switch to the Nottingham Forest is already agreed in principle.
Only final approval is required to complete the deal.
For now, everything hinges on one factor.
Whether Jones commits his future to Liverpool before considering a move to San Siro.
