Pyramids coach expects tactical war in third clash with Berkane
Pyramids coach Krunoslav Jurcic said the match against RS Berkane will be very difficult as both teams meet again on Sunday.
Third Meeting in Three Months
Pyramids FC head coach Krunoslav Jurcic stressed the strength of Morocco’s RS Berkane ahead of their African Champions League showdown on Sunday.
Speaking at press conference on Saturday, the Croatian coach explained that the two sides know each other extremely well as this will be their third meeting in less than three month.
Jurcic said the familiarity makes the game even harder describing both teams as “an open book” for players and coaches which increases the tactical challenge.
“Mistakes Will Not Be Accepted”
Jurcic admitted that Berkane remain strong opponent with quality players and experienced technical staff.
He added that clash between Champions League & Confederation Cup holders carries extra pressure and intensity.
The Pyramids coach said his team will enter the match aiming for victory and the three point which would secure qualification to the next round and break Berkane’s hold on the top spot in the group.
He warned that the match leaves no room for errors as dropped points could make the qualification race much more complicated for either side.
Pyramids Target Group Leadership
Despite the heavy schedule Pyramids face both domestically and in Africa, Jurcic insisted his squad will push for the win and try to settle qualification early.
He also spoke about the mental pressure surrounding the club saying Pyramids are fully focused on continuing their success after recent trophy achievements.
Jurcic raises refereeing concerns
In strong comments, Jurcic suggested that refereeing decisions in recent Egyptian league matches have created frustration for the club.
He claimed that officials have been too quick to punish him, even when his objections on decisions was reasonable.
