Bryson DeChambeau congratulated Carlos Alcaraz on his victory over Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final.
The LIV golfer hailed Alcaraz’s career achievements, while also mentioning a video they recently filmed.
DeChambeau played alongside the Spaniard as part of his ‘Break 50’ series, but the footage has not yet been released.
“One of a kind stuff,” DeChambeau tweeted. “7 majors, a Career Grand Slam, and World No. 1 at 22 years old… doesn’t even feel like a real sentence.
“Congrats, brother. Keep going. P.S. can’t wait for y’all to see our Break 50… Season 3 is gonna be unreal.”
Alcaraz is a keen golfer, with a handicap in the low teens, so it will be interesting to see how he fared alongside DeChambeau.
Sergio Garcia heaps praise on Carlos Alcaraz
Sergio Garcia also praised Alcaraz after his victory at the Australian Open, in which he completed the career Grand Slam.
Garcia wrote: “What a beast Carlos Alcaraz! Congratulations on becoming the youngest player in history to achieve the grand slam!
“You have and will continue to make Spain proud. Much love, my friend!”
Spanish tennis fans have been extremely lucky this century, with Alcaraz following on from the legendary Rafael Nadal.
