New Barcelona Atletic signing Hamza Abdelkarim is already thinking about breaking into the first team after arriving at the Camp Nou.

Abdelkarin has signed from Al-Ahly and will start off with Juliano Belletti’s side. He’s joined on loan with a buy option and says he’s hoping he can go on and make the step up to Hansi Flick’s squad.

“The feeling is great. I’m ready and excited. I can’t wait to be on the pitch,” he told the club’s media.

“My goal is to give my all for this club and hopefully to make the first team and represent this club in the best way possible.

“I love football, it’s my passion, it’s what I like to do. I will give it my all. It’s a new step. I am excited for it and hopefuly I can make everyone proud.”

Abelkarim looks a really exciting prospect and it will be interesting to see if he can make an impact with Belletti’s team in the second half of the season.
