Could Syracuse pull an upset? Maybe.
Only one game Monday night as Syracuse takes a break from the snow and ice and….oh, never mind. They might have less on the ground than some parts of North Carolina.
The Orange has struggled and there is pressure on Adrian Autry. His team has been erratic and has not been that great, least of all on defense.
That doesn’t mean they can’t be good in this one though. They might actually match up reasonably well with the Tar Heels.
Donnie Freeman has a chance at pulling Caleb Wilson out with his three point shooting and William Kyle is big enough to deal with Henri Veesaar.
The perimeter is reasonably talented too. UNC has Seth Trimble, Luka Bogavac, Derek Dixon, Kyan Evans and Jonathan Powell.
Syracuse counters with Nathan George, JJ Starling, Nate King and Kyan Anthony.
UNC should win this one, but if Syracuse defends and someone gets hot, the Orange could pull it off.
We wouldn’t bet the rent money though.
