Happy Mock Draft Monday one and all.

We will discuss the Matt Miller Mock Draft in a bit, but first the free one, as Lance Zierlein of NFL.com has dropped his first 2026 NFL Mock Draft of the season.

From Zierlein:

3. Arizona Cardinals – Spencer Fano, OT – Utah

In this draft, this is not an ideal spot for quarterback or offensive line, but Fano might offer the best potential of anyone available as a pass protector.

Fano is a 6-6 308lbs right tackle, who has started three years at Utah, which is a huge deal for offensive line play. The question becomes, is drafting a right tackle, with needs on the defense as well, really worth it?

That would obviously depend on how you grade out Fano.

If he is a top five player in this draft, and the top rated offensive linemen, then yes, this makes a ton of sense. But, if Fano is a top 15 player in this draft, but also the top offensive linemen, then why not grab one of the edge players, in this case David Bailey, Kelvin Faulk or Reuben Bain Jr.?

It will be interesting to see how boards fall, and if people prefer Fano or Francis Mauigoa, but I don’t think you can ever say taking an offensive linemen for the Arizona Cardinals is a bad thing.
