From Blues to Blues
Tyrique George is keeping it Blue but changing cities, joining Everton on loan today, transfer deadline day.
Six months ago, on the previous transfer deadline day, he was keeping it the same city but changing colors, after agreeing to join friendly neighbors Fulham in a permanent transfer. But that deal fell through at the eleventh hour, keeping George at the Bridge for a bit longer.
And he may yet be back this time as well, as Everton (reportedly) only have an option rather than an obligation to make the loan permanent at the end of the season. It’s not known how much this option might be, though it’s probably not too massive. The Fulham deal would’ve been around £20m.
Ty won Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year award in 2025, and since then he’s been on the fringes, at least, of the first team, amassing 37 appearances and scoring 6 goals in the process. Not bad for an Academy-grown teenager!
Good luck on Merseyside, Ty!
