Training Report: Bayern Munich’s Josip Stanišić suffers injury scare; Raphaël Guerreiro back in team training, but not Konrad Laimer; and MORE

FC Bayern is dealing with some injuries.

According to a report from Tz journalists Mano Bonke, Philipp Kessler, and Hanna Raif (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Josip Stanišić suffered an injury scare after absorbing a hard tackle from teammate Jonathan Tah:

Josip Stanišić got injured in today’s training following a tackle by Jonathan Tah. Stanišić felt pain in his left knee and left the training pitch.

The reporters would later check back in with an update on Stanišić indicating that whatever injury he suffered was not serious:

Update: It is said that Stanišic did not suffer a serious injury following today’s training incident.

Bild expanded on the incident and it does not look like Stanišić is out of the woods yet:

Confirmation of today’s training incident: During a challenge for the ball, Jonathan Tah unintentionally stepped on Josip Stanišić at full speed. The German defender caught Stanišić’s right foot, the very foot on which he had suffered a ligament injury in his ankle. Stanišic limped to the side and received treatment. He initially rejoined the training session, but just a few minutes later he had to cut the session short and return to the dressing room. The extent of the injury is still unknown.

Considering the state of the right-back position at the moment, Bayern Munich should put anyone who plays that spot in bubble wrap for the rest of the season.

Guerreiro in, Laimer still out

Raphaël Guerreiro returned to team training, but his rehab partner, Konrad Laimer, was still only able to work out individually:

Raphaël Guerreiro trained with the team today and is likely to be in the squad against Hoffenheim. Konrad Laimer has yet to resume team training and is unlikely to feature on Sunday

Ndiaye continues work

Meanwhile, Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) provided an update on Bayern Munich’s only incoming move for the winter transfer window:

New signing Bara Sapoko Ndiaye was involved in parts of team training for the first time today. He then worked individually as he continues to recover.
