Former Jets star Sauce Gardner sells North Jersey home. See how much

Former New York Jets player Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner recently sold his custom-built North Jersey mansion for $3 million.

Former New York Jets cornerback Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner officially sold his custom-built North Jersey mansion in January for just below $3 million.

The transaction was completed in an off-market deal, where the property was sold to a cash buyer, said agent Kevin Marquez of The Abbattista and Marquez Team at Keller Williams Prosperity in Towaco.

Gardner, who was drafted by the New York Jets in 2022, originally purchased the 2.77-acre lot at 2 Patrick Court in Montville for $1.37 million in August 2023. At the time, there was just a foundation on the property.

The home at 2 Patrick Court in Montville Township was custom-built by former New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner before he was traded to the Indianapolis Colts.

"He bought a different house here in town when he first got drafted to the Jets. Then from there, I had a brand new construction listing for this property, which he bought from me," Marquez said. "I ended up selling his other home for him, and then I connected him with a builder for this property."

He worked with James Paladino of Paladino Enterprises in Mahwah, Marquez said, to construct the 5,600-square-foot Hamptons-style home, which sits along a private cul-de-sac in the township's Bear Rock Estates neighborhood.

The property features five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, two fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen and a wet bar. The finished basement offers a movie theater, a golf simulator, an ice plunge and a sauna; while the backyard includes a putting green, a sand trap, an infinity pool and a covered patio.

Marquez said Gardner lived in the home for about six months before he was ultimately traded to the Indianapolis Colts in November 2025.

"It sucks that he built his dream home, but that's the life of the business," he said. "But working with him, he's very sharp, especially for someone that comes across that much money at his age. He's very savvy. He understands the real estate market. He asks the right questions. It was good to work with somebody who understands and gets it."
