There have been some understandable nerves in the Arsenal fanbase recently, with the Gunners seemingly on the verge of a big season, but nothing in the trophy cabinet just yet.
The team had the chance to reach the final of the League Cup against Chelsea on Tuesday, and any nerves were replaced by pure ecstasy as Kai Havertz put in a 97th-minute winner to kill the tie at 4-2 on aggregate.
The scenes in the stands were quite something to behold, and Mikel Arteta was pleased with the home support after the game.

“Honestly, they were amazing today,” Arteta said of the fans. “And the conditions were very tough, it doesn’t matter.
“So thank you so much because they made a massive impact on the team. The boys were talking about one of the best atmospheres that they played [in].”
Eberechi Eze confirmed that it was great to be a part of that moment as a player on the pitch.
“Yeah, special,” Eze confirmed. “The fans, you could see the energy throughout the whole stadium. To feel it, it was powerful and yeah, it’s a special moment for us.”

Those Arsenal fans can now start thinking about the League Cup final in March, with the game scheduled for Sunday, March 22nd at Wembley.
Before that, there’s the small matter of determining Arsenal’s opponents, with Manchester City taking on Newcastle United on Wednesday night in their own semi-final second leg.
But City have a 2-0 lead from the first leg and they’re playing at home, so anything other than progression would be a total disaster for Pep Guardiola’s side.
