Grading Georgia football's biggest offseason departures

The Georgia Bulldogs lost a lot of talent through the draft and portal. Here's Georgia's highest regarded departures, according to Pro Football Focus.

The Georgia Bulldogs suffering a brutal loss to the Ole Miss Rebels in the Sugar Bowl ended their 2025-26 season. They tried to rebuild through the transfer portal and recruitment this offseason to get back to the College Football Playoff in the 2026-27, and they had some successes through the transfer portal, especially through the secondary.

However, they once again lost a lot of talent through eligibility, the transfer portal, and the 2026 NFL draft. Their pass catching group was decimated by draft declarations, with the Bulldogs losing star wide receiver Zachariah Branch, who set a Georgia Bulldogs record for receptions this past season, along with receivers Colbie Young, Noah Thomas and Dillon Bell. They've also lost tight end Oscar Delp, although Lawson Luckie surprised everyone by staying with the team for a senior season.

Georgia is in a severe deficit in the wide receiver room. For the sake of another step from Gunner Stockton, Georgia fans will be hoping from development from returners such as Sacovie White-Helton and London Humphreys, along with Georgia Tech transfers wide receiver Isiah Cannon to integrate his skillset into the offense.

Georgia also lost a lot of defensive talent including linebacker CJ Allen and defensive tackle Christen Miller. Both Allen and Miller could end up as first-round picks in the draft.
