CHICAGO, Ill. (WJHL) — Gate City native Mac McClung might get another chance to play in the NBA after the Chicago Bulls signed him to a two-way spot.
The three-time slam dunk champion has spent the majority of his career in the G League, where he was most recently suiting up for Chicago’s affiliate, the Windy City Bulls.
McClung has only nine NBA appearances, including one game for the Chicago Bulls during the 2021-22 season.
Most recently, however, the Indiana Pacers gave McClung a chance, and he appeared in three games before being waived. McClung, who announced he would not participate in the slam dunk contest, has averaged 25.4 points, 7.5 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game on 51.8 percent shooting from the field.
