Eddie Howe says he hopes to have Bruno Guimaraes back involved for this weekend’s game against Brentford.
The midfielder has missed the last four games with an ankle injury but has trained ahead of Saturday’s clash.
“Bruno’s getting closer,” Howe said. “He did a training session on Wednesday when we were travelling. He felt pretty good. So I’ll see him today and fingers crossed he’ll be fit.”
Howe says he is not yet sure how long Lewis Miley will be sidelined for, meanwhile, but does not think he will be out for long.
“We’ll find out today [on Lewis Miley],” he said. “I’m awaiting an update on him but again it’s not a serious injury and we hope he’ll be back very soon.”
Anthony Gordon was forced off in the defeat to Manchester City with a hamstring problem but Howe is optimistic that it is not serious.
“No major update on Anthony,” he said.
“Every chance he’ll miss this game coming up at the weekend but we hope it’s not a serious injury and he’ll be back pretty soon.”
