Man United will look to make it four wins from four under Michael Carrick when they welcome Spurs to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last three games against Manchester City, Arsenal and Fulham.
Carrick will be aiming to add another victory to his record as Manchester United manager.
The last time United won four consecutive games in the Premier League was in February 2024 under Erik Ten Hag.
If Manchester United defeat Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, Michael Carrick would become just the third manager in the club’s history to win his first four matches in charge — and would have done so against notably stronger opposition.
Sir Matt Busby and Ole Gunnar Solskjær are the only two United managers to previously achieve the feat, with Solskjær’s four-game run coming against Cardiff City, Bournemouth, Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United.
The Red Devils have not beaten Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford since October 2022, when Erik Ten Hag’s side claimed a 2-0 win. Spurs were managed by Antonio Conte on that evening, in a game that was also notable for Cristiano Ronaldo being left as an unused substitute and leaving the stadium early despite United’s win.
United are winless in their last eight meetings with Spurs, a run that has spanned managerial reigns under Ryan Mason, Ange Postecoglou and Thomas Frank.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have met on 206 occasions, with the Red Devils winning 96 matches, losing 58 and drawing 52.
The hosts go into the contest unbeaten in their last eight matches under the combined stewardship of Rúben Amorim and Michael Carrick. They will be without Matthijs De Ligt and Patrick Dorgu, who remain sidelined with injuries.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur come into the fixture on the back of a 2–2 draw with Manchester City. Dominic Solanke struck twice to rescue a point for the Lilywhites at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs are unbeaten in their last four matches across the Premier League and Champions League.
Thomas Frank’s side have collected just ten points at home this season, with five of their seven league victories coming away from home. The North London side sit 14th in the Premier League table; nine points clear of the relegation zone and 11 points adrift of the top five.
James Maddison (knee), Dejan Kulusevski (knee), Mohammed Kudas (thigh), Pedro Porro (Hamstring), Richarlison (Hamstring), Rodrigo Bentancur (Hamstring), Ben Davies (Ankle), Lucas Bergvall (Ankle) and Kevin Danso (Toe) are all out with injuries.
The match will be broadcast live on TNT Sport 1 with a kick-off time of 12:30 GMT.
