One Tennessee starter is uncertain to play Saturday night.
Ahead of their Saturday matchup at Rupp Arena, the Kentucky Wildcats and Tennessee Volunteers have released their SEC injury report.
For Kentucky, Jaland Lowe, Jayden Quaintance, and Kam Williams were all ruled out. Lowe remains done for the season, while Quaintance is also unlikely to play again for the Wildcats. There’s been no real update on Williams since he underwent foot surgery, outside of the initial news that he has a small chance of returning toward the end of this season. It’s best for Kentucky fans to expect him not to play again this season unless something changes.
For Tennessee, Cade Phillips remains out for the season after undergoing shoulder surgery in December. The junior forward was averaging 3.8 points and 4.0 rebounds in 16.9 minutes per game this season while starting in nine of the 10 games he appeared in.
Meanwhile, the Vols have three other players listed as questionable to play Saturday night: Starting forward Felix Okpara, backup guard Amaree Abram, and backup guard Troy Henderson.
Okpara is averaging 6.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 26.6 minutes per game. He’s missed the previous two contests, though the Vols still have plenty of frontcourt depth with guys like J.P. Estrella and Jalen Carey capable of making a significant impact.
Abram is averaging 3.8 points and 1.6 rebounds in 12 minutes per outing.
Henderson is averaging 2.4 points and 1.5 assists in 9.5 minutes per game.
