SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The boys basketball programs of Beach and Portal picked up separate road region wins on Friday.
Beach and Johnson met for the second time this season. The first matchup was an instant classic. As Jayce Jenkins made a game-winning 3-pointer to lift Beach, 52-51.
The second matchup did not come down to the final seconds, but it did produce another Beach win, 62-41.
Over at Savannah High, the BlueJackets hosted Portal. Both teams came into the contest at 9-4 and tied for the second spot in the region.
Savannah High led, 22-19, at the break. However, at the end, Portal walked out with a win, 52-49.
