It may be off-season for Myles Garrett, but things are just heating up for his girlfriend, champion snowboarder Chloe Kim.
Garrett, 30, tells PEOPLE's Janine Rubenstein at Media Row during Super Bowl 2026 week in San Francisco that he's excited to be a "rock" for Kim as she competes in the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics this month.
"I finish up here Sunday, get back for about 12 hours, and then I hit the road and go to see her," he tells PEOPLE on Friday, Feb. 6 about traveling to Italy for the games.
Kim, 25, is hoping to make history in the women's snowboard halfpipe event, with qualifiers kicking off on Feb. 11 in Italy. If she wins gold, she'll be the first person to complete a "three-peat" in Olympic history. She made her debut in the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Games (where she won her first gold medal) and returned for the 2022 Beijing Games (where she earned gold once again).
"We're both just so supportive of one another," says Garrett, who is in San Francisco on behalf of Uncrustables. "She's always texting, she's always calling to see how I'm doing during the year and I'm doing the same right now, checking on her, seeing how she's feeling, emotionally and physically."
The Cleveland Browns defensive end says he's "just trying to be her rock because throughout the year she's mine."
The athletic couple can be a bit competitive with each other, admits Garrett.
"It's so competitive," he says. "When we get into our sports, even when we play games against each other."
Garrett, who won Defensive Player of the Year at the 2026 NFL Honors on Feb. 4, says they're even competitive in woo-ing each other: "I'm more romantic than her."
The two athletes were first linked in May 2025, when they attended the Crunchyroll Anime Awards together in Japan. Garrett and Kim officially confirmed their relationship in November 2025, when she supported him as the Browns played the Las Vegas Raiders.
