LAWRENCE (KSNT) – The Kansas Jayhawks (15-10, 5-8 Big 12) took down the Cincinnati Bearcats (8-16, 3-9 Big 12) 80-71 as Jaliya Davis continues to dominate.

The Jayhawks built up an 11-point lead with just under three minutes remaining in the second quarter. Some timely shots and a three for the Bearcats saw KU’s lead cut to three, just 40-36 at the half.

Kansas dominated the third quarter to rebuild a double digit lead, but a relentless effort from Cincinnati would see the Bearcats tie the game with 3:43 remaining in the fourth.

The Jayhawks would go on a 6-0 run in the final 1:32 of the game, securing the 80-71 win.

Five-time Big 12 Freshman of the Week Jaliya Davis racked up 28 points and eight rebounds, shooting 10 of 14 from the floor.

S’Mya Nichols, Lilly Meister and Elle Evans also scored in double figures, with 16, 14 and 12 points, respectively.

The ‘Hawks will travel down to Lubbock on Feb. 10 to take on No. 18 Texas Tech. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
