Bundesliga: Guirassy saves Dortmund in Wolfsburg
In a tense match in Wolfsburg, Borussia Dortmund snatched a 2-1 victory thanks to a late goal from Serhou Guirassy (87th minute). This win temporarily cuts Bayern Munich’s lead at the top of the Bundesliga to three points.
Julian Brandt opened the scoring for Dortmund just before halftime (38th), but Konstantinos Koulierakis brought the sides level early in the second half (52nd). As Wolfsburg seemed headed for a valuable point, Guirassy finished off a superb team move to secure all three points for the visitors.
Despite the absence of their captain Emre Can, Niko Kovac’s men notch their fifth consecutive win and remain firmly in the title race. Wolfsburg, on the other hand, continue to struggle in the relegation zone.
