Super Bowl 2027 Odds: Packers a solid bet for next year’s title

Only four teams have shorter odds than the Packers to win next year’s Super Bowl at the start of the offseason.

Super Bowl LX is now finished, and the Seattle Seahawks have won their second NFL title. Mike MacDonald’s team rode a dominant defensive performance to a 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots, earning Seattle its second Lombardi Trophy and first since the 2013 season, when they beat the Denver Broncos.

The NFL has no true offseason, however, and now the entire football world’s eyes immediately move on to next year’s Super Bowl, which will be held on Valentine’s Day at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Early odds are already posted for next year’s championship game, and the Green Bay Packers are among the teams with the shortest odds to win the title.

The Packers currently head into the offseason with +1300 odds, according to FanDuel. That gives them the fifth-shortest odds of any team, sitting behind the following teams:

  • Seattle Seahawks, +750
  • Los Angeles Rams, +800
  • Baltimore Ravens, +1200
  • Buffalo Bills, +1200

Those odds are significant, especially considering that the Packers finished the 2025 season as the NFC’s #7 seed. Of course, they suffered several significant injuries over the course of the year, but that number suggests that the sportsbooks expect Micah Parsons and Tucker Kraft to return to full strength before or early on in the 2026 season.

Note that there are no other NFC North teams on the list. Indeed, the Packers’ other three divisional rivals fall below them in the eyes of the oddsmakers. The Detroit Lions are not far behind at +1600, but the books see regression coming for the Chicago Bears, putting them at +2700. The Minnesota Vikings, despite a surge to a 9-8 record at the end of this season, are much farther back still at +5500.

Also notable is that the Patriots, who just played in today’s game, have only the tenth-best odds overall and the fifth-best odds in the AFC. The Patriots are back at +1700, behind the Ravens, Bills, Chargers (+1500), and Chiefs (+1600) in their own conference.
