Let’s launch a fresh Bears assistant coach report and rumor tracker. @wiltfongjr is keeping tabs on all the changes here:
With the Super Bowl over, we’ll likely get some assistant coach announcements from the Chicago Bears soon, so I wanted to launch a fresh tracker to gather the new rumors and news surrounding the changes.
There have been a few reported moves, but only two things are official. First, running backs coach Eric Bieniemy left for the offensive coordinator job with the Kansas City Chiefs. Second, offensive coordinator Declan Doyle took the same role with the Baltimore Ravens.
It was reported that former Miami Dolphins running backs coach Eric Studesville was hired to take Bieniemy’s place in Chicago, and that the Bears promoted pass game coordinator Press Taylor to take Doyle’s place.
It was also reported that former Boston College offensive coordinator Will Lawing accepted an assistant coach job with the Bears. Lawing sliding right into the pass game coordinator gig makes some sense.
If you want to catch up on the timeline of reports and rumors, you can check out our previous assistant coach tracker.
Any new rumors or news will be updated in this tracker as they trickle in.
