The last time fight fans saw Errol Spence Jr. inside a boxing ring he was getting his clocked cleaned by none other than Terence Crawford in July 2023 in what at the time was one of the most anticipated fights in the sport of boxing. After suffering the first and only loss of his career, which cost him the WBA (Super), WBC, and IBF Welterweight titles, Spence Jr. is now ready to return to action.

According to Mike Coppinger, “The Truth” is expected to face former WBO Light Middleweight champion, Tim Tszyu, sometime in the summer of 2026, though an exact date and location has yet-to-be confirmed.

Tszyu (26-3) is just 2-3 in his last five fights, so he is eager to capitalize on his most recent win against Anthony Velasquez in Dec. 2025. After a blistering knockout win over Joseph Spence in April 2025 (highlights), Tszyu called for a showdown against Keith Thurman, though that never came to be as Thurman is now in line to face Sebastian Fundora on March 28 for the WBC Light Middleweight title.

As for Spence, he started off his boxing career with a mint 28-0 record with 22 knockouts which included a nice run in which he won four straight against Yordenis Ugas, Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter and Mikey Garcia. After plenty stalling and canceled plans to face Crawford, the two finally settled their beef in July 2023, which saw “Bud” put a one-sided beatdown on Spence Jr., resulting in a ninth-round TKO win.

Before Spence Jr and Tszyu take care of business, however, Tszyu is expected to take tune up fight in the interim in Australia.
