Good late evening Fear the Wall,
Apologies for this late Daily Bee, I was super busy today. This is going to be a quick one as well.
So Bayern won. I have some thoughts on that game but fortunately I don’t write for BFW so I don’t have to share them. What I will say is that the first penalty against Hoffenheim was super soft, and basically took Hoffenheim out of the game. How convenient.
Dortmund have Mainz and Leipzig before they welcome the Bavarians, while Bayern have Bremen and Frankfurt. Probably cannot expect much there.
BVB News
- The Seahawks won the Super Bowl! That is not Dortmund news, but every time the Patriots lose I will celebrate wherever I have an audience. Feel free to complain in the comments I’ll ignore it!
- Julian Brandt is reportedly still weighing up his future at BVB with a contract offer in front of him.
- Emre Can is dealing with a new injury that could keep him out for the rest of the month. Can is hampered by adductor injuries, similar to those that kept him out over the summer and into October.
League News
- RB Leipzig have extended all three of their first team goalkeepers. Péter Gulásci will spend his 12th season with the cans, one of the only remaining holdouts from their come up.
- Jonathan Burkhardt is close to a return for Frankfurt, having been sidelined since November. Frankfurt could certainly use the boost as the head into a match with Bayern Munich.
Will either of Frankfurt or Leipzig nick points off Bayern before Der Klassiker?
