South African winger Kurt Abrahams scored a brace as his team, SK Beveren, beat Lommel 2-0 in the Belgian First Division B.
The 29-year-old Cape Town-born star opened the scoring in the 51st minute, before completing his brace 12 minutes later.
As a result, Beveren moved 12 points clear at the summit of the Challenger Pro League, having picked up 60 points in 22 league outings.
Notably, Beveren have one game in hand ahead of their match against Francs Borains on Sunday, 15 February, as they continue their quest for promotion to the topflight.
Meanwhile, Abrahams has now scored seven goals and provided two assists in 23 games across all competitions - with five of the goals coming in the last seven matches.
Abrahams, who spent a large chunk of his career in Belgium, is in the final six months of his contract at Beveren, but the club has a one-year option.
