Six Missouri football players going to NFL combine. Here's who made it

Six Missouri football players have been invited to the NFL Scouting Combine later this month. Here's who made the list out of Mizzou.

Six Missouri football grads are heading to Indianapolis.

The NFL announced Wednesday that 319 players have been invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, which will take place Feb. 23-March 3 in Indianapolis. Among the group heading to the draft showcase are six Mizzou players from the 2025 season.

Defensive end Zion Young, defensive tackle Chris McClellan, right tackle Keagen Trost, linebacker Josiah Trotter, cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. and wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. all have been invited to the combine.

Missouri’s top notable omissions were center Connor Tollison and safety Daylan Carnell.

Only one other former Missouri player made the list. Ex-Mizzou punter Jack Stonehouse, who transferred to Syracuse from MU after the 2022 season, is among the group invited to Indianapolis.

Mizzou had four players invited to the combine last year, ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. In 2024, eight Missouri players went to the combine. In 2023, only one Tiger went to Indianapolis.

Here’s where Mizzou’s crew from last season currently is expected to fall in the 2026 NFL Draft:

Is Zion Young the next first-round pick out of Mizzou?

After a stellar showing at the Senior Bowl, Young is pretty high on a lot of draft boards as a first-round pick from ESPN’s Field Yates in his most-recent first-round mock draft. Yates has Young going to the Chicago Bears with the No. 25 overall pick.

If Young does go on Day 1, the Tigers will have first-round draft picks in three straight years. Armand Membou and Darius Robinson were Round 1 picks in 2025 and 2024, respectively. The last time that happened in Columbia was 2009-11.

Josiah Trotter, linebacker

In Dane Brugler’s list of the top-100 prospects at The Athletic on Feb. 10, Trotter landed at No. 66, which would be early in the third round.

The 6-foot-2, 237-pound linebacker is starting the NFL Draft process early, entering the draft as a redshirt sophomore and forgoing his final two years of collegiate eligibility. In his one season at Mizzou, the former West Virginia player led the Tigers in tackles and was among the team’s most-consistently impactful defensive players.

Chris McClellan, defensive tackle

Another Senior Bowl standout, McClellan landed at No. 95 on Brugler’s prospect list at The Athletic, which is a third-round slot. The 6-3, 315-pound defensive tackle had a tremendous 2025 season with six sacks among eight tackles for loss.

Kevin Coleman Jr., wide receiver

Coleman did himself some favors in Mobile, Alabama, for the Senior Bowl, with a strong route-running showing. He’s currently the No. 125-overall prospect on Mock Draft Database’s consensus 2026 big board, which is in the fourth round.

Keagen Trost, right tackle

Will Mizzou see its right tackle drafted in back-to-back seasons? Trost is currently the No. 215 prospect on Mock Draft Database’s consensus big board, which was a compensatory spot in the sixth round last year.

PFF charted Trost as its highest-graded offensive lineman in the nation last season. He was charted as allowing just seven quarterback pressures in more than 400 pass-blocking snaps.

Toriano Pride Jr., cornerback

Pride hasn’t appeared on many draft lists that the Tribune has seen so far, but the East St. Louis grad could change that with a good performance at the combine. He has good size at 5-11, 188, and was much-improved in his senior season.

He is currently listed at No. 447 at Mock Draft Database, but that should see a jump after he goes to Indy.

Who else could be drafted from Mizzou?

Just because a player was not invited to the combine, does not mean they won’t be drafted. Former Mizzou left tackle Marcus Bryant did not make the combine invite list, and the Patriots drafted him in the seventh round last season — and he went to the Super Bowl.

Likewise, two of the four Missouri players who went to last year’s combine, Brady Cook and Theo Wease Jr., ended up as undrafted free agents.

Tollison at center and safeties Carnell and Jalen Catalon are among the players who might earn some attention in the upcoming months. There is a lot of time to go until the 2026 NFL Draft begins April 23 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, so there’s certainly time for movement on draft boards with ongoing scouting.
