Naples will once again have to make do without Frank Zambo Anguissa. The Cameroonian midfielder has not fully recovered from his back injury and, as a result, is not included in the squad called up to face Hellas Verona this Saturday in Serie A. His absence has been confirmed by the Neapolitan staff, who prefer to err on the side of caution.

Franck Zambo Anguissa had been tipped to return for Naples, but unfortunately, the news has dropped like a hammer blow once again—he is still not fit enough to play. The Cameroonian international has been sidelined for several months and is struggling to regain peak physical condition. His last league appearance dates back to November 9, 2025, against Bologna FC 1909. Since then, he hasn't set foot on a Serie A pitch, leaving a noticeable gap in the Partenopei midfield.

Yet before his spell on the sidelines, Zambo Anguissa had racked up 11 matches, scored 4 goals, and provided one assist since the start of the season—numbers that highlight his crucial role for Napoli, both in breaking up play and driving the attack forward.
