The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) announced on Wednesday, March 4th, that it has reached an official agreement with Rani Khedira for him to now wear the jersey of the Eagles of Carthage.

The Federation, led by Moez Nasri, also confirmed that FIFA’s Football Tribunal has officially validated the player’s switch of national association.

In its statement regarding the eligibility of the FC Union Berlin midfielder, the Tunisian body stated:

“The Tunisian Football Federation informs the sporting public and media representatives that the FIFA Football Tribunal has today officially approved the change of national association for player Rani Khedira.Following the administrative procedures undertaken by the Tunisian Football Federation, and in line with the player’s clear and affirmed desire to represent Tunisia, the single judge of the Players’ Status Chamber has delivered the following decision:• Request accepted: the application by the Tunisian Football Federation regarding the change of national association for Rani Khedira has been officially approved.• Immediate eligibility: the player is now authorized to represent the national teams governed by the Tunisian Football Federation with immediate effect.• International notification: this decision has been officially communicated to the Deutscher Fußball-Bund, the Confederation of African Football, and UEFA.”
