2025 Division I women's volleyball preseason poll: Nebraska claims top spot

The 2025 preseason coaches' poll has been released, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers have secured the top position two weeks before the season starts.

The 2025 preseason volleyball coaches' poll has been released, with Nebraska ranked first as the season approaches in just over two weeks.

A Big Ten powerhouse, the Cornhuskers, secured 1,490 points and received 40 first-place votes, making them the top team in the rankings. Nebraska has won five national title, the last coming in 2017.

Penn State, the defending NCAA Division I champion, is ranked No. 2 with 1,459 points and 21 first-place votes. Pittsburgh, Louisville, the runner-up in last year's championship game, and Texas round out the top five.
