In the meantime, Gash has been named to the 2026 Polynesian Bowl roster. The bowl game will take place in Honolulu, Hawaii on Jan. 16, 2026. Gash is the lone Spartan commit to be included on the roster as of now.
Gash is one of 13 receivers committed to the game, joining uncommitted receivers Kaue Akana (Orem, UT), Quentin Burrell (Chicago, IL), Ethan Feaster (DeSoto, TX), Jalen Lott (Lucas, TX), MonShun Sales (Indianapolis, IN), CeDerian Morgan (Alexander City, AL), Jett Washington (Las Vegas, NV) along with Texas A&M commit Madden Williams, a pair of UCLA commits Kennan Pula and Jaron Pula, and a pair of Ohio State commits in Jamier Brown and Chris Henry Jr.
Gash (6-0, 170) committed to the Spartans back in late June. He chose the Spartans over an offer from Alabama, which he received after a camp on campus. His other offers included West Virginia, Iowa, Cincinnati, Illinois, Vanderbilt, and more.

His father, Sam Gash, played fullback for Penn State in the early 1990s. He spent 11 years in the NFL after getting drafted in 1992. Sam was a member of the 2000 Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl-winning team. His nine-year coaching career included stops with Detroit Lions (2008-12) and Green Bay Packers (2014-15).
