According to a fresh report from Fichajes, Real Madrid are once again eyeing Vitinha, the talented Portuguese midfielder currently shining at Paris Saint-Germain.

It is no secret that the Spanish giants are determined to strengthen their midfield with a player who can offer both creativity and control from deep, qualities Vitinha possesses in abundance.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a sensational season with PSG under Luis Enrique, playing a vital role in their treble-winning campaign. He also impressed with the Portuguese national team, contributing to their UEFA Nations League triumph.

Known for his intelligence on the ball, line-breaking passes, and calmness under pressure, the 25-year-old has emerged as one of the most consistent and complete midfielders in Europe.

Real Madrid admire his qualities

Real Madrid’s board believes he is the perfect player to complement the likes of Jude Bellingham and Fede Valverde.

In fact, they see him as a long-term leader in the centre of the pitch. With Toni Kroos now retired and Luka Modric no longer at the club, the need for a new creative engine is clearand Vitinha fits the bill.

Xabi Alonso has reportedly approved the move, as he sees Vitinha as a key part of his plans, particularly because of the midfielder’s ability to retain possession and build play under intense pressure.

Hefty price tag complicates the move

Despite their strong interest, Real Madrid face a significant obstacle since PSG are unwilling to part ways with Vitinha for less than €130 million. That figure is a major hurdle unless Madrid can free up funds through player sales.

However, it is to be noted that the futures of Rodrygo and Brahim Díaz could hold the key. Offloading one or both may open the financial space needed to push through a deal.

For now, Vitinha stays in Paris. But as the transfer window heats up, one cannot rule out a blockbuster move.
