Dermane Karim has officially been loaned to FC Lorient this Saturday, August 9, 2025. The Togolese midfielder arrives from Lommel SK in the Belgian division for one season, with no purchase clause included in the deal.
FC Lorient has confirmed the arrival of Dermane Karim, the clubβs fifth summer signing as they return to Ligue 1. Trained at Feyenoord Rotterdam, the player has been competing in Belgian divisions since 2023, notably with Lommel SK and Kortrijk. Versatile across midfield positions, he has primarily been deployed as a holding midfielder. His technical profile and mobility have impressed the Lorient management.
Wearing the Lommel shirt, Dermane Karim made 43 appearances in the Challenger Pro League, scoring three goals and providing six assists. In the second half of last season, he was loaned out to Kortrijk in the Jupiler Pro League, where he featured in 15 matches, netted once and delivered an assist.
