Yankees’ Trent Grisham broke out his best Mario outfit after clutch home run originally appeared on The Sporting News
Trent Grisham is having the best season of his baseball life.
The New York Yankees' centerfielder delivered the go-ahead homer Saturday in a game the Yanks desperately needed to win, a clutch blast in the bottom of the eighth inning.
That's not what we're here for, though.
We're here because Grisham's postgame outfit made him look exactly like Mario.

There's gotta be a 50% chance Grisham knew what he was doing here.
Hopefully he did. That's way cooler.
Maybe somebody will ask him about it. The fans deserve to know.
The Yankees won't mind as long as Grisham keeps playing like Super Mario. He's been everything they could've ever asked for.
This was his 21st homer of the season, a career high. He's batting .247, much better than anything he's done in recent years.
And now he's rocking video game character looks casually like it's no big deal. That's a guy who is locked in.
